About sapphire83

Hi, I am a 26 year old pregnant mother of two. I am divorced and struggling to care for my two and four year old children. I am currently a full time college student and am due to give birth in January. I am also awaiting my test results back from the doctor to find out if I have cervix cancer, the biopsy was done last week so I will find out in 4 to 6 weeks. In July of this year I lost my part time job that has kept my family afloat and now I am so far behind on my bills that I am facing losing everything, or what little that I have left. I just came up for section 8 housing and am set to move into an apartment on December first (myself and my two children are currently living with my grandparents in one little room and they are living on social security and cannot continue to bear our burdens) however due to the deposits on the apartment I am afraid that we will not be able to move in and will have to let this assistance from the government pass us by. I am currently on TANF but our monthly income is only 292.00 a month. They take all of my child support (250) in lieu of the TANF so that my budget remains at 292.00. I am simply at a loss, the deposits at the apartment total $810.00 not to mention the necessary items we will need to live in an apartment, I do have some furniture and a few things left over from when I was self sufficient and had my own home, but I have no idea what to do to be able to make this move...

Hi, I am posting this for a close freind who actually has no idea that i am doing so. The last year has been a very rough one for her and her three children.  You see, last year their house caught on fire and they lost everything, they had no insurance so they honestly had absolutely nothing, but the clothes on their back.  Well a few months after the house cought on fire they were out of town visiting family and while inside of Walmart their car was stolen.  They only had liability and so they of course they were then left with no vehicle.  She lost her job because she had no means of transportation.  Well a couple of months after this she was able to borrow a little bit of money and bought a car.  The car she bought well, sot such a good car. Luckily she heard about a place nearby that was hiring and she started working.  She works hard, but I know that because she is so far behind on all of her bills that she is not going to be able to much at all for Christmas for her children who are 9,9, and 11. They told her that they knew that she was not going to have any money at Christmas time and that it was okay.  I know that it just breaks her heart and I have seen her crying on more that one occassion, even though she tries to hide it. She is raising 3 of the most compassionate, caring, unselfish children I know and they all deserve to have some Joy brought back into their lives.  If anyone could help them in any way please let me know.  I know that there are so many families is need and I hope that everyone is able to find the help that they need.  Thank you

Comment: I have a job but do not make...

Note: This aidpage was started as a comment on "I will clean home but only if 20 other people do the same"

I have a job but do not make enough to get a good card. I have less than perfect credit so am unable to purchase one without a large downpayment. My husband is a Veteran and must go to the VA hospital each month. Neither one of us make enough money on our jobs to save a 5,000. downpayment for a better car.

Single homeless christian mom of two needs help getting on feet again

  Hello,

My name is Nicole, I am a single mother of two beautiful girls, I am currently working  in a small town about 60 miles away from my city. Me and my little girls currently reside at my mothers house, I am out of a car and a home for my girls so I am traveling by bus out of town everyday. I have been a born again Christian for about 8 months now and I can say I have never seen life the way I see it now. I know God will help me and I have faith that he will see me through this difficult time, I just need a chance to get back on my feet. My kids have all they need. I just need help and have no more options I am working 12 hour days including travel time. I want to provide stability for my babies, I pray that some one can help. I thank you for your time and may God Bless you and your family.

                                                                           With Love Nicole

Single mom gone back to college.

Hello,

I want you all to know that I am a great mom.  I've been through a lot and finally settled down and realized that I needed to go to school.  I have a 3 1/2 year old son and he is very intellegent.  I am living with friends at the time and not recieving any child support.  I am on assistance, but I am sad to say that it is not quite enough.

I am doing very well in school.  My G.P.A. is 3.41. I have about another year and a half to go in school in order to get my degree.  I just need a little help along the way.  Now usually I have way too much pride to ask, but this is not about me anymore.  It's about my son.  He didnt ask to be here on this earth.  It is my duty to give him the best life.

If I could just find a job with great pay until I get out of school, everything would be better.  My education means the world to me.  In order to make a decent living for you and your children nowadays, you have to have a college degree.

I just want to thank whom ever it is that would like to reach me back.  God Bless You!

Carolyn

Comment: My husband was involved in...

Note: This aidpage was started as a comment on "I will clean home but only if 20 other people do the same"

My husband was involved in a car accident on April 21, 2007. He broke his back, had a kyphotic L1 burst fracture, had to undergo emergency surgery. Our lives have been tossed around and turned upside down. We are very worried about our bills, lights, water, rent, car payment, groceries etc... We have a four year old son and don't really know what is going to happen. I intend on going to work but minimum wage will not cover our bills. I would have to work 3 jobs to equal out what he made and it takes so long before you can start any social security disability claim and then you don't know if or how long it will take to be approved. Please pray for us, we need all the prayers and help we can get. Bless You!!!!!
